Cutting the grass is crucial to your lawn’s health! we advise that you choose the weekly package as this ensures no more than two/thirds of the grass blade is being cut off at a time. Anymore than this and it increases risk to lawn diseases, and generally holds back the lawn from it’s full potential.
Watering is another key aspect to a great lawn! So how much water do you need?
1 inch – 1 1/2 inches of water per week will do the trick! so keep an eye on the weather and see if there is enough rain falling.
- Put a tuna can outside along with your sprinkler. Check to see when the tuna can is filled up to about 1 inch. If it is, move the sprinkler to the next area and repeat.

In general, overseeding is most beneficial to cool-season grasses like fescue, ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass. But certain types of warm-season grasses can benefit from overseeding, too, especially in the winter when they go dormant.
You should have your lawn overseeded twice per year if you want a beautiful, lush turf!
This is a great question that we are always happy to answer!
Overseeding is a crucial and often overlooked step to having a thick lush carpet of grass. It is the spreading of quality grass seed across the entire lawn area and is done in order to fill up any bare spots, or empty areas in between the existing grass blades. This makes for a very thick carpet of grass.
